I just got some new vinyl in the mail the other day. The Oracle EP, and Monoliths and Dimensions Albums. These Doom/Drone Metallers have almost all of their releases on vinyl. I am still missing a few pieces to my collection. (Not pictured Dømkirke)

I just noticed this little disclaimer on Metal Archives.

If I had my way, every website would be setup this way. IE needs to die, and the only way that can happen is for people to stop supporting it. Go download Firefox, Opera, Safari, or anything else. Just get rid of the horse drawn carriage that is IE.

Cattle Decapitiation

The Harvest Floor

January 20, 2009

California's Deathgrind kings Cattle Decap have crafted a gory masterpiece with "The Harvest Floor". I feel that this album is a step up from Karma.Bloody.Karma, both in the areas of writing and production. The production on this album has been their best yet, this will be the clearest sounding Cattle Decap you will hear. That has always been a disappointment for me in the past when listening to their albums is that it seems like it was recorded in a mud puddle. Also this is the most melodic stuff I have heard them write, with clean guitar and clean vocals on the title track. The best track on the album is definitely "We are Horrible People", this track has the coolest drumming I have heard in a while. In conclusion if you like blast beats and grunts, check this out.

Gnome XP

When I saw this video all I could say was wow. Appearantly someone named PhrankDaChicken made a script that makes your Gnome theme look exactly like Windows XP. I would never use this, but it might come in handy for tricking your grandmother into thinking she is actually on a windows machine. Check out the video, pretty crazy stuff.

Guns

So I got to go to the shooting range last weekend, it had been a while since i have gotten to go so it turned out quite fun. Shot my bulgarian Makarov, and Andrew rented a Glock 36 to try out. The recoil on the Glock 36 turned out to be more manageable than I expected, I have never shot a .45 before that. To make things interesting we decided to have a shooting contest to see who would win in the zombie apocalypse, you can see those results in the pic at the bottom of the page (Ben - left, Andrew - right). Fun stuff, comment if you so please.

So my band played a show at Illif Park Saloon a few nights ago, I have some video footage but it is taking longer than I thought to edit that. In the meantime here are some stills taken from the footage, sorry for the low resolution. Also go check out the band's myspace, right now we just have a couple of crappy demos up but we are looking to record our full length over christmas break.
